Once upon a time, there were massive compute machines, then electronics grew more powerful and compact > we begun to have desktops. In a few short years then, humanity once again improved electronics and ICT software and infrastructures > we start having laptops and cloud computing.
Have you ever imagined a day when you can wear powerful compute systems, activating apps by waving your hands?
First explored by the entertainment and gaming industries, visor technologies have been improving over the years.
Some of the forerunners include Microsoft’s Hololens, Magic Leap and Meta’s Quest and AR glasses. These powerful and unique electronics have opened up need for new and unique ICT and software skills to build-up the visors’ digital realms.
First announced through Apple’s Newsroom yesterday (5th June, 2023) Apple has also unveiled its visor technology named Apple Vision Pro.
“Apple Vision Pro brings a new dimension to powerful, personal computing by changing the way users interact with their favorite apps, capture and relive memories, enjoy stunning TV shows and movies, and connect with others in FaceTime.”
