If you’re one of those last-minute rush-to-school kids, take note — things around the neighborhood have changed while you were away:
1) Zebra Crossing at the LRT is Now a Traffic Light
The zebra crossing near the LRT station has been upgraded to a full traffic light system — likely in response to feedback about the morning and evening student crowd.
What to expect: Heavy child traffic (“kid jams”) in this area during peak school hours.
2) Escalator to Choa Chu Kang LRT is Under Maintenance
If your daily route includes the CCK LRT, take note: the escalator going up is undergoing a major refresh.
For the next 6 months, you’ll be climbing the stairs — the new escalator is scheduled to be ready after you graduate.
What to expect: More “kid jams” in the mornings, especially at the stairs.
