The Telegram bot can be used individually or added into a group.
It has the following abilities:
- start – Start the bot
- today – Today’s lesson
- tomorrow – Tomorrow’s lesson
- day – Timetable for a day (e.g. if talking to bot directly just type e.g., Monday. if talking to bot in group type /day Monday)
- module – Search by module name or module code (e.g., Lifeskills or ESD)
- setclass – Set class code (e.g. if talking to bot directly just type e.g., QH2301N. if talking to bot in group type /setclass QH2301N)
- setyear – Set school year (e.g. if talking to bot directly just type e.g., 2024. if talking to bot in group type /setyear 2024)
- setsem – Set school semester (e.g. if talking to bot directly just type e.g., 2. if talking to bot in group type /setsem 2)
- setterm – Set school term (e.g. if talking to bot directly just type e.g., 1. if talking to bot in group type /setterm 1)
Note: The reason if in group chat, you need to specify /[command name] [parameter] instead of just the [paramter] is because the bot is set to Privacy [ON].
It means the bot only “listen to a user interaction in chat if there is /[command name] [parameter]” (selective listening – e.g., when your mom talks to you).
Otherwise if bot is set to Privacy [OFF] and it responds every time someone types Monday or Tuesday etc., this means the Telegram bot is listening to all of the group’s conversation
