Hi Class, we have hit Week 6 of your Term 2.
In Operating System Essentials (OSE) Module, we have hit our learning targets of clearing all the compulsory labworks. We have done 2 sets of Practice Revisions to prepare for the upcoming Practical Assignment.
Details of the OSE Practical Assignment (40% of your total module grades) is as follows:
Date of Assessment: Monday, 15th May 2023
The test will happen in two parts:
· Index Number 1 to 21 will take the test from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 5310.
· Index Number 22 to 42 will take the test from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 5310.
If you are absent for the test, you will lose 40% of your module grades straight away. I will NOT accept telemedicine medical certificate (MC) as this is a formal gradable item. Please go clinic / hospital if you are sick to get MC, I will call them up to check.
There will only be 1 re-test. If you fail Monday’s test and sit for re-test, your score is capped at 50% of this gradable component.
There will be a consultation session tomorrow (Friday, 12th May 2023) from 9 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. online for those wishing to ask a few more questions about OSE labworks.
Our class is supporting a team to participate in next Tuesday’s (16th May 2023) DJI RoboMaster Youth Championship 2023.

The schedule for your examination timetable is out for Series: June 2023. Each exam paper is worth 50% of your total module grade. If you are late for the exam, you will be locked out of the room and fail.
