A notice on behalf of ITE-CW Civil Defence Lionhearter Club.

Students may wish to keep aware of the online Community Emergency Preparedness Programme (CEPP) Tier 1 & Tier 2 training for this year’s January new intake of students.

The Tier 1 training will allow students to go through a 15 minutes CEPP training syllabus ‘I AM SAFE’ e-learning programme from SCDF, which will help equip them with the basic emergency preparedness knowledge to get them and others out of harm’s way during emergencies such as fires and terrorist attacks.

This e-learning programme focuses on two key topics:

•         What do you do when a fire breaks out?

•         Improvised First Aid Skills (IFAS) Plus

Students will receive an e-certificate upon successful completion (To pass the quiz, students will have to attain at least an 80% score (at least 4 correct answers out of 5)).

The Tier 2 ‘Response Ready’ e-learning programme, it will take about 30 to 45 minutes to complete this module, which will cover the essential ‘Triangle of Life’ knowledge, namely first aid, CPR-AED and firefighting, as well as an overview of SGSecure – Singapore’s community response to the terrorism threat.

Please take the Tier 1 e-learning programme first prior to Tier 2 e-learning programme.

This e-learning programme consists of five topics:    

•         Overview of SGSecure

•         First Aid

•         Fire Safety

•         CPR-AED

Students will receive an e-certificate upon successful completion (To pass the quiz, students will have to attain at least a 60% score (at least 6 correct answers out of 10)).

Only members of the ITE CW-Lionhearter Club will be awarded with CCA points upon receiving the certificates. If any of you are interested to join ITE CW-Lionhearter Club, please let me know so I can pass your names to the lecturer in-charge.
