Yes, it will be critical for recovery partition to exist in the Windows server as some computers using the server could be hacked or their data is messed with, either removed or corrupt. If that happens, a recovery partition can come into play. Recovery Partition is meant to restore the computer to its original configuration. Not only that but a recovery partition is also required to do such as to restore only specific ones rather than the whole lot, where a special key is used to access this recovery partition option.
