The People’s Association, East Coast GCD Office is pleased to share that the annual application period for East Coast WinSTEM Bursary have commenced, and the closing date will be on 28 July 2023.

“Launched in March 2021, the East Coast WinSTEM (Women in STEM ) Bursary provides a boost to female students building their future in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The bursary is available to female students from modest economic backgrounds, currently enrolled in ITE, Polytechnics and Local Universities who are majoring in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related disciplines. It managed to benefit more than 66 female students residing in East Coast through the previous two rounds of applications.
Through this initiative, we hope to #BreakTheBias that STEM is a male-dominant field. Instead, we will pave the way for more female students to chase their dreams and eventually go on to lead important scientific discoveries and create innovative technology solutions to improve our lives.”
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicable to Singapore Citizens residing in East Coast GRC only
- Gross Monthly Household Income (GHI) does not exceed $4,000 or Per Capita Income (PCI) does not exceed $1,000
- Applicant must be a female student majoring in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related disciplines in ITE / Polytechnic / Local University
Important Notes:
- Application period is from 29 May 2023 to 28 July 2023. Late applications will not be considered.
- Applicants are to ensure that all required documents are to be attached and submitted together via https://go.gov.sg/ecwinstem or scan the QR code in the attached poster.
- Successful & Unsuccessful applicants will be notified via letter and/or email.
- Repeated successful applications will not be considered.
- Successful applicants are encouraged to participate in a community project in East Coast GRC during the period they receive the bursary.
- Successful applicants of last year, should not be applying for this upcoming run.
Bursary Quantum:
- Institute of Technical Education (ITE): $750 per year, for a duration of 2 years in 2 tranches
