The Splash Awards is the biggest and longest running student technology competition hosted yearly by the Singapore Computer Society (SCS).
The prizes for winning this year includes:
- MacBook Air
- Cash Prize
Who is Eligible?
Students matriculated in all full-time courses in a recognised local or international Institute of Higher Learning (IHL), Junior Colleges, Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Secondary Schools or equivalent institutions are eligible.
What is the Theme?
The overarching theme for this competition if about ways to use tech to build resilient communities, that can answer questions such as:
- How can Singapore be better prepared for our ageing society?
- Can we create a more inclusive and equal Singapore?
- What does it take to preserve our multicultural roots?
There are various sub-themes listed on the website, which you can consider potential problem areas, which you can use technology to solve.
How to Participate?
Step 1: Form teams of maximum 3 students (need not be form the same school, college, course or institution)
Step 2: Find a mentor who can provide guidance or assistance and be the point of contact for the competition. (Hint: The mentor can be an industry professional)
