For students intending to pursue ITE’s Work Study Diplomas (WSDips) under our school (School of Electronics and Info-comms Technology – SEIT), please take note of the following.

Path #01

University of the Arts Singapore (UAS) has included WSDip graduates as potential candidates to apply for their 2024 admission, for their Bachelor of Arts (Hon) Biophilic Design (Awarded by UAS).

As this is a design leaning degree, they will also assess based on artistic talent and creativity.

Path #02

Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) will also consider graduates from Work Study Diplomas for their Engineering and Info-comms Technology degrees. They prefer and likely will prioritize students in the Engineering and ICT trades.

Keep in mind that you will need at least CGPA of 2.0 from your current Higher Nitec courses and a company willing to support your work-study journey, to apply for relevant WSDip programmes after your graduate.

Your current programme is the Higher Nitec in IT Applications Development (3 years).

For admission to any higher level studies, the same principle applies.

If you wanna try go into those two universities, your grades for your WSDip have to be strong and you should probably build a portfolio of works to showcase.

The doors have been opened, but you have to recognize that you will likely be fighting for limited seats during each admission, against JC and Poly students.
