Dear Class,
National Youth Council (NYC), in partnership with the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) and the National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS), will be organizing the Climate Youth Development Programme.
This is an intensive, seven-month programme which runs from July 2024 to February 2025, beginning with a mandatory five-day in-person Induction Week from 22 to 26 July 2024.
You will need to be a Singaporean/PR citizen within the age range of 18 to 35 years old.
Take note as well this opportunity overlaps your internship period, internship performance comes first.
Henceforth, those who are nominated will be known as the “chosen ones” this is to distinguish between those who try but failed to get the slot.

What to expect:
- Chosen ones will get to have dialogues with government representatives and industry experts.
- Chosen ones will get exclusive learning journeys to organisations that contribute to climate action.
- Chosen ones will get access to networking opportunities with like-minded peers from diverse backgrounds.
- Chosen ones will be able to access national resources that can support your ground-up ideas.
Upon completion of the programme, the chosen ones will be part of the Climate Youth Community and be offered national-level resources to actualise ground-up ideas and take part in various leadership development platforms.
Check-off the requirements:
- You are a Singapore citizen/Permanent Resident.
- Between the ages of 18 to 35 years old.
- Keen to join a community of climate-conscious changemakers.
- Able to commit physically to attend the full duration of the five-day Induction Week from 22 to 26 July 2024.
- Able to participate fully in the post-Induction Week events organised throughout the programme.
- Mentally and physically prepared and committed to take part in such a long running mission. Weaklings who give up easily, no need to apply.
