Dear class,

FedEx Express and Junior Achievement cordially invite you students to the 18th FedEx Express / JA International Trade Challenge (ITC).

The ITC is a competition on Market Entry Strategy 🔮. To prepare for the Market Entry Strategy, the students are required to research 🕵️‍♂️ and synthesize 👨‍🏫 detailed information related to a specific country to gain a greater understanding of international trade 🥷

The exercise stresses the elements of teamwork 🚣‍♂️, competition 🧗‍♀️, marketing 👨‍🎤, promotion 🧜‍♂️and innovation 👸, and it requires the students to develop a clearly written international marketing plan for a specific country ♻ that includes:

  • Target Market
  • Product Description and Strategy
  • Pricing Strategy
  • Promotion Strategy
  • Placing and Distribution Strategy
  • Financial Plan
  • Application of Technology
  • Project Timeline
  • Measurement of Success

As students prepare to create the distribution 👩‍🦯and logistical 🧑‍🦽 elements of their proposals, they will be encouraged to conduct on-line research 🕵️‍♂️ on the international trade operations 🥷of a variety of businesses including FedEx.

I am not GPA locking this competition because NONE of you are trained in this. Everyone in class is at the same level (level 0). Except those rare few who explored selling their own things 👩‍💻 or making their own crafts 🧚.

Interested students, please update me by next Monday 13th May 2024 OR Friday 17th May 2024. This is because the organisers knows most students who joins are noobs (unless they be from business schools… or have business parents).

Participants are required to attend a 1-Day training 🏋️ on either 18th May, Saturday (if register by 13th May) OR 25th May, Saturday (if register by 17th May).

You need to form a 2-person team 👥.

A teacher needs to vouch for your team as this is an international challenge…

I will only support 2 teams (4 pax total) max, so first come first serve.

Anymore you find another teacher to help you register.

If by some miracle 🙏 you reach the international round 🌍, there is an important thing to note:

10 countries will be represented in this competition.

The 6 student winners from Singapore WILL BE RANDOMLY 🎲 mixed with winning students from other countries to form new 2 person teams. You cannot stick to your couple 💕, bros  or sis team forever.

So if you want to join and win, you cannot be a weakling 🐙 and must dare to speak 🗣️ to different children in your age range.
